  • Spelling Test will be this Friday, December 8th.
Reading and Language Arts:
  • Continuing our new chapter book, Mouse and the Motorcycle.
  • Grammar Rule 11:  Possessive pronouns tell who or what owns something.  They replace possessive nouns.  For example:  our home, her brother, my best friend, yours, mine, theirs.
  • Reading skill focus:  inference, prediction, details and conclusions.
Math:
  • Lesson 3:  Multiply and divide with familiar facts using a letter to represent the unknown. For example:  21 ÷ 3 = n,  n = 7 or  n x 7 = 21. n = 3.
    • Homework on Monday night.
  • Lesson 4:  Count by units of 6 to multiply and divide using number bonds to decompose.  For example:  24 + 6 = 20 + 10 = 30.

  • We will be doing IXL in class so students will not be assigned IXL for homework but I encourage students to do one to two activities in Math and Language Arts on the days we do not have paper homework to continue practicing their important third grade skills.
****Please remind your child to bring a snack to have at our morning break (10:30 am) since they don't eat lunch until 1:00 pm.
