Reading and Grammar:
- We are enjoying the book Sideways Stories From Wayside School during teacher read aloud time.
- We have started talking about simple and strong questions to ask during reading text.
- We will start our vocabulary focus. Hopefully you will start hearing these words added to their vocabulary!
- Our first words will be: fragile, research, defend, specific, pledge.
- Our WOW word will be: rediscover
- Building our stamina in reading continuously for at least 15 minutes without talking or leaving our spot. The kids made it 11 minutes already!!
Math
- We are going to begin our math unit on Rounding to nearest 10 and 100.
- Students will have a page of math homework on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.
Science:
- We did our first Mystery Science on Friday and thought about what scientist do. We formulated questions we could ask if we were wondering about something.
Homework:
- Math homework on rounding on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Homework is due the following day.
- Practicing spelling words from list 1. Test will be in two weeks.
